pool par-tay...

The kids were invited to a birthday party last weekend and I made this card for the birthday girl. I started with a SFYTT sketch (lost the real keyword) but I forgot to add the shaped accent over the half circle... ooops! I don't think anyone noticed. No one has to know but me... well, and the three of you who read my blog (or at least look at the pictures.)

Beautiful Bella is colored with Copic Markers with a dab of Stickles on her eyes, dotted on the ribbons on her dress and was added to the hearts on the half circle.

Normally, I wouldn't put sage shadow with blush blossom and... uh.... ruby red? Yeah, ruby red! But I used a 6x6 stack I snagged at CKC for $2 and my original intent was to use another patterned paper from the stack on this as well and the green matched that other sheet perfectly. When all was ready to be glued I didn't like the other paper as much so I added the Stickles and kept the hearts. By the time I realized there wasn't any other green, the heart were already adhered. I do like those colors though. Good thing!

Who doesn't love the new Ketto stamps over at Stamping Bella? They are all so cute it's so hard to pick just one! I was stamping some out to share with a friend :) and I decided to stamp a few out for myself too. She is on naturals white paper and colored with copic markers. I wasn't sure how the markers were going to work with the naturals paper but I was quite pleased. I hope you like it!

This decked out prima essentials box is going off to Sara. One of my tagging friends. Isn't it fun? The image... well I won't even say it because you know where it's from and why I don't know anything about it or the white paper it was stamped on! Because Sara is such a sweetie, it's loaded with fun :)

I am sure you recognize this super cute american crafts a la mode paper :) ...love it! the green is on the reverse side. I don't know if I told you that before. I know, it just gets better! It matches almost perfectly with PTI ripe avocado.

This is getting old, but this image was snagged from Georgann. YES! I did leave her some, I promise! I cut it out with my nestabilities dies, and I colored it with the same Copic markers I used the other day when I colored the other image. On this one, I used frosted lace stickles (I rarely use real stickles but I did today!).

To follow Beate's WSC68 sketch, I cut the circles with my coluzzle. The green bottom layer was scalloped with my SU corner rounder. I didn't decorate the inside yet, but I will :)

giggling flowers...

This image just makes me smile. It's sooo cute and girlie like my daughter. She tries to keep up with her brother, but she loves all things girl. She isn't into playing dolls and Barbies, she is mechanically inclined and plays with k'nex and her computer (and wii of course!) but she loves to draw and she also loves to do things to her hair (she really likes to braid it wet so it's curly and she already told me she wants to color it) and she loves to paint her fingernails. She also likes to dress up. Did I mention her love of stuffed animals (UGH!!!)

This Stamping Bella image was snagged from Georgann along with others, so I don't know much else about it. I colored her with copics. The sentiment is from faux ribbon by Paper Tray and it was stamped with su old olive classic ink. Oh, and the paper! The paper is by American Crafts, from the a la mode line and is from Tuesday Morning. I got a pack of 25 sheets for just $1.99! So since I have a large pack be prepared to see more of it (and the other two packs I bought).

chocolate covered bella...

These are the stamps that kept me from completing my husbands cards. I had to use them. Really, there was no choice. They are stamped on very vanilla card stock in PTI dark chocolate and sponged with su chocolate chip. I wish I would have used whisper white instead of the vanilla because I stamped a bunch of these Bellas at the Ft Meade SBS. Thanks Tracy!! I have a few more, so I am going to do another one.


Bella is colored with my copic markers and the close to cocoa layer was edged with my Martha Stewart edge punch. The snowflake brad was a gift from my Big DSS at SCS... thanks Lisa!!

Alesha Walls wrote this weeks tutorial featured in the Weekly Inkling on SCS. As soon as I read it I immediately thought of this Martha punch. Who am I kidding... I didn't read it. I looked at the picture, skimmed for measurements and got punchin'!
It was love at first site. I think this punch works amazingly with this technique. I chose this orange paper because it was a scrap from these boxes that I made for the last Ft Meade MD swap. And besides, orange is an amazing color! The card base (layers and all) was pulled from the french board. I made it last halloween but never did anything with it. I have some bellas on it in my gallery at SCS. I have no idea where the black and white gingham is from. I was on a card in a ribbon box. I was thinking about what ribbon to use when I spotted it up on the top shelf. I pulled out my YR07 Copic marker and colored away. I love coloring my ribbons. You really get a lot out of your ribbons this way :)

bella in stitches

I've been playing with the sewing machine a lot over the last few days and plan on playing a bit more :) A day late and a dollar short... again.
I love this DCWV card base with this bella. I will be so sad when I am out. I save them for special cards. Since I stitched directly on the card base, I have a quarter sheet of white on the back to hide the stitching.
On last years Holiday paper from SU, I took my Creative Memories wavy trimmer and sloped the one edge. I wanted to test my ability on steering LOL
Bella is colored with Copic and Stampin' Up markers. The felt flowers are by Making Memories and Stampin' Up and the brad is Stampin' Up.

Got this card in the mail from my secret sister over at SplitCoast. I love the paper and ribbon she used! And Stella... Some days, don't ya just feel like falling into a martini? I like apple which is better with no olive but hey, after four or five who really cares anyway??

I love this Bella! Isn't she beautiful?
I really don't know what I was thinking when I made this goofy card! I do like how it looks closed though. The opening is at the blue scalloped layer and Bella flips up with it... so it's a tri fold card. The *celebrate* sentiment also lifts with Bella. I think I'd like it better if I had attached that to the card base and only Bella lifted with the flap. She is colored with Copic markers and her dress is covered with stickles.

birthday bella...

I've been trying to use up some scraps and also some more of that double sided card stock. I found almost a whole pack and I really want to use it up, so I am sorry if you get bored with it... at least it's in five different colors combinations. I wanted to soften up the designer paper so I scalloped the edge of this vellum and I really like the way it came out. Bella is colored with Copic markers and her purse has some glaze on it.

I stumbled upon some of my old time favorite double sided solid card stock from about four or five years ago... before I got into Stampin' Up card stock. One side is a pale yellow and the other is a near perfect match for PTI aqua mist. The patterned paper is some I got over the summer by working at the CK convention. I really like the colors (and the back had a really pretty polka dot pattern... you will see that in another post). Bella is colored with Copic markers and popped up. Some satin aqua mist ribbon from PTI finishes it off. I wanted to put a sentiment on this but nothing seemed balanced.

a bad hair day...

I got this adorable image from the Wish RAK group on SCS. There are some truly generous stampers in that group! But then, aren't all stampers??

I made this card a few weeks ago but never got around to shooting her till today. I really love how this came together. I have a brother sewing machine that I really wish I knew how to use :) but for this card, I pierced the paper with my SU tool kit and hand stitched floss into the holes. She is colored in with copic markers. I am adding to my collection monthly with Gina K's club! Thanks Gina for making it so easy to collect them.
